How does buying a home work?

Finding the house is the easy part; getting it under contract is where experience matters.

  1. We get to know each other first

Just like any other relationship, you want to feel good about the person you're working with and have a level of trust. My process first starts with a very casual coffee meet, or video call. I want to learn about your goals first, get to know each other, and tell you about myself and the Cush team who will be supporting you throughout the home buying process.

  2. Let's talk about the budget

Getting your finances in order first helps move this process into the next stage. If you're not already pre-approved, I can provide a few hyper-local lenders to help you with the financing process. Once you're pre-approved, you will be able to offer on homes.

  3. We'll start searching for the perfect space

Looking for a home online becomes a sport, and while you're off looking at Redfin and Zillow, I'll be busy using my realtor community to find you off-market opportunities or coming soon listings. I'll make time to show you properties aside from open houses. How walkable is this neighborhood? How are the schools? How's traffic? Is there public transportation nearby? I'll cover all of it!

  4. We write an offer!

I will help prepare you to write an offer so good the seller can't say no. Once we have thoroughly reviewed comparable sales, disclosures, and interest levels, we sit and strategize our offer plan. I will run you through the offer process, and level set offer day expectations. Every offer is a different scenario, and having the right mentor to walk you through all types of scenarios will put you in the best position on offer day.

  5. Ratified, close of escrow, and passing keys

Your offer is accepted! Amazing! But we're not done yet. I will walk you through all parts that happen after your offer is accepted. Communication is everything during this process and I pride myself on being hyper communicative. I will work with your lender and our escrow officer to keep this process as smooth as possible.
